About the workshop:
The time we are passing through now is like no other we have experienced in our lifetime. Our lives are being tested as is our patience. With this lockdown most children are at home and many of us have been working from home for the longest time we can remember! It's a tough time and many parents have been asking me 'how do I stop yelling??', 'I know my children have it tough too, but not sure how else I can get them to listen?' and others are saying ‘but they don’t listen unless I yell!’
The question is, ‘Does it work?’
Often yelling leads to a downward spiral; resulting in children sulking, talking back, having meltdowns, slamming doors and the list goes on! This then leads to more yelling. A problem with yelling is that it doesn’t teach children how to resolve problems peacefully, and you will notice they yell when they want their way.
Join this webinar to know how to manage when kids push your buttons and present challenging behaviour problems such as defiance and backtalk. Yelling and losing our cool are not appropriate and if yelling is a frequent occurrence in your home, it may be time for you to consider what’s going on and explore some alternative ways to communicate with your child.
